WEEKLY UPDATE ON WESTERN CAUCUS MEMBERS TAKING ACTION FOR RURAL AMERICA

ANOTHER YEAR, ANOTHER POLICY BATTLE

Welcome to 2024! We hope you all had a lovely holiday season and are adjusting well to the new year. WCF is hitting the ground running with events, and we hope to see you in-person or at a Digital Connect in the next few weeks.

With another week, another fight for use of our abundant natural resources persists.

President Biden is facing significant pressure from some Democrats and climate groups to choke liquified natural gas (LNG) exports. This is just after the U.S. ended 2023 with record-breaking LNG production..

LNG accounts for more than 10% of the nation’s natural gas production and 6% of our total exports. LNG is 600 times more efficient than your typical natural gas and is vital for cooking, heating homes, and generating electricity.
